The annual African American History Month Service of the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church will be held on Sunday, February 18 at 3:00 PM. Guest speaker will be writer, lecturer, and historian, Mr. Harold Jones.  The national theme for this year’s celebration is “African Americans in Times of War.” For more information contact Ruth Hodge at 717-243-2132.

Penn State Extension in Cumberland County is offering the workshop “Let’s Make Jams & Jellies” on Thursday, February 22 from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM, at the Cumberland County Service Center, 310 Allen Road, Carlisle.  Learn to make successful jams, jellies and other sweet spreads. The public is invited to attend a simulcast of "Work as Worship Retreat," on Friday February 23 at Idaville United Brethren Church from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Influential business leaders and pastors will discuss what it looks like to connect faith and work during a live event in Dallas which will be streamed to over 2,000 churches around the world. From High School to Employment. Building bridges one step at a time. The Youth Outreach Committee of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church is excited to announce a program coming up for youth and their parents on Sunday February 25 at 3:00 PM.  Featured guests will be military from all branches who will provide information on serving our country. Penn State Extension will be offering a Dining with Diabetes class beginning March 1st, 2018 from 12:30 PM to 3 PM at Messiah Village, Mechanicsburg, PA.  Dining with Diabetes is a nationally accredited program for adults with or at risk of developing type 2 diabetes.  Classes are offered weekly for four weeks, with a three-month follow-up.  This class is offered at $5 per individual.  Pre-registration is required due to space and can be made by calling 1-877-345-0691 by February 23.

Randy Simpson is once again holding a benefit concert for WPFG on Saturday, March 3 from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM at Churchtown Church of God in Boiling Springs. Randy’s special guest will be the March Forth Quartet. The concert is free however a love offering will be taken in support of WPFG.  You can find Churchtown Church of God at 351 Old Stone House Road, Boiling Springs. Sewing Sisters Sowing is holding Sewing Much for Charity and Free Fabric Event on Saturday, March 17 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Trinity United Methodist Church, 210 Hummelstown. This is a networking event for those who crochet, knit or sew for charity.  A free light lunch will be served. "Mutual Agreement," a vocal ensemble of Christian men singing a cappella in six-part harmony will present a concert on Sunday March 18 at 3 PM at First Lutheran Church, 21 S. Bedford St. Carlisle. The group whose name means "A Covenant with God" focuses on spreading the word of God through gospels, spirituals, and hymns that are uplifting and contemporary. Carlisle Evangelical Free Church presents "Priscilla Shirer Simulcast" on Saturday April 28th from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM at the church.  Join women from around the world for this inspiring one-day event with New York Times best-selling author, Priscilla Shirer!  You're invited to be part of this global, one-day simulcast that focuses on the power of prayer and learning to study God's Word for yourself.  Tickets are available at the church's website, cefc.org through April 15th.
