Community Issues and Missions

WPFG's Community Issues and Missions program is meant to inform our listeners about the issues and missions programs that are taking place in our community.  Community Issues and Missions airs every Saturday at 5 PM and repeats on the following Monday at 3 PM.

Glenn Chandler’s gift is channeling money back to the community. One major aspect of his ministry is through used clothing collection boxes that fund various groups. In this interview, he shares how he got started and some of the challenges he faces with “for profit” clothing collectors. We’ve all seen the tan collection boxes. What advantage is there in using the one labeled Community Aid as opposed to the other boxes?

Featuring Glenn Chandler.  Interviewed by Giff Briner.  Aired 4/20/2013.

Nancy Shoap, author and public speaker, talks about her latest book, His Everyday Promises. In it, she shares from her personal experiences, such as the threat of going blind. God was able to use even a stray kitten to minister His grace to her.

Some ministries stand alone in the matter of being unique. Love beyond Ourselves is one such ministry. Reese and Wendy Crane refer to themselves as Musicianaries, as they travel, sometimes overseas, to share the gospel of Christ in music and established relationships. By combining secular music into their work, they can minister in places where other types of ministries just cannot.
